I Want/Need A Roof Rrack

Hi guys!

I have a Land Rover 90 Truck Cab with an Ifor Williams style back on, its brilliant and i do love it, but it is really lacking in space...

 

Ideally it needs a roof rack, i have been needing to move a fair boards and fencing rails around which is possing a problem, ladders, for my chainsaw mill and tree work arent too bad on the roof with a rachet strap right round, but i dont know what it would look like in the eyes of the law...

 

Anyway i have been thinking if i got hold of an old 90 hard top roof rack, and then added some steel box on the ifor willams for the rack to go onto, would that work? Finding it pretty hard to explain, but basicly would th ifor willams be strong enough? and would i be allowed to do this?

 

And... anyone got a roof rack they want to get rid of?

My old man (ag engineer for most of his time) made something similar for a 110, I might be able to find some pics - and if not ill get him to write out how to do it and post it on here. Might take me a day or two though
