Hi , My main climbing line is new england uv and i climb using a blakes hitch.

However the split tale i have been using has nearly had it and want to replace with a spliced eye split tail, theres a yale magma ice split tail on gustharts would this be any good or does anyone know of anything better.

Thankyou

As long as the diameter is the same, 13mm, it will work.

thanks mate , yes the new england is 13mm.

i have tried some smaller friction cord but didnt like it

The blake knot requires same (or similar) diameter friction cord as the climbing rope, so you shouldn't even consider 10/11 mm friction cord when climbing on 13 mm rope

when i started climbing i didnt have much of a clue about stuff so i was climbing on blaze with a 13mm split tail, it worked, but was rather quick!
