Thing I don't like about the whole licensing thing, is that woodland management for single species blots out everything else. We should manage woodland for diversity. Striking a happy medium is challenging.

We seem to have forgotten that our woodlands and their wildlife have evolved to what they are today, not beacause they were 'managed' but because they were someones factory floor. (Yes I realise that the very act of cutting, working woods is management, but i'm just a poor creature of the heath and couldnt think of a more concise way of putting it.:blushing: I hope you know what I mean:confused1:)
