spot on , the trouble is Ben Fuest doesn't sell his lightning kit:confused1: well thats the impresssion he gave me on the phone a few weeks ago, likes to install protection himself...

do we get enough lightning/storms to warrent lightning protection in the UK? jeez tons of rain no storms! will there ever be a silver lining to these clouds lol

Quite obviously we are talking about specimen trees here.

 

I have spoken with Ben. Apparently he will shortly be doing an 'introduction' on the subject at one of the AA meetings around Sept.

 

He is obviously well into the subject.

I got the impression he is looking into giving training at some stage.

 

But I am really trying to find out who gives 'proper' training in order that we can install it in accordance with BS standards....but there is none for trees.

how about some kind of guild of lightning protection installers, I mean tree or building so what..

I've cheekily email a few companies that carry out Lightning Protection in the UK about training.....just waiting to here back.
