OOOh nasty.

Sorry to hear of your discomfort Dave.

hope you have a speedy & full recovery.

Have no experience in this, but can feel mother nature creeping up on my status quo

Any idea what actually caused it?

.

Thanks David, sorry for the late reply spent most of yesterday in bed? no idea what or when caused the hernia i may have had it for months or even years. Having a five year old son who constantly "needs" to sit on my sholders probably has a high likelyhood of being the main cause?one things for sure i have never felt pain quite as bad before so need to reduce physical exertion for a while?

regards

Dave

That sucks! Were you lifting something heavy when it went?

Hi Craker i was just driving into work, the hernia must have already been there, i suppose my intestine just dropped through the tear? it was excruciating and how the hell i got to work i'll never know..one things for sure the air in my car was a bit blue as i was stuck in rush hour traffic, good job the wife and boy where somewhere else?

Regards

Dave

I would like to thank everyone for easing my concerns , its a comfort to know that a hernia may not affect me as much as i initially thought. Some excellent advice from those in the know(Thanks guys) luckily i'm not overweight but i will certanly concentrate more on improving my core strength from now on.

Due to see a surgeon in a couple of weeks so i'll know what is to become of me shortly?:thumbup1:

Thanks again

regards

Dave

ive had 4 hernia ops on the 3rd they didnt do good job and i bust the mesh. they then double meshed it and stitched nerves in with it too. Had to have course of injections into the scar tissue to solve it, still hurts bad now n again. just make sure you dont rush back climbing or lifting.

That sounds nasty Dave i hope your pain is soon sorted out

Best wishes

Dave
