Anyone else been asked to have this before being allowed to start working on site. We have cscs cards but now find another hurdle and certificate to have uugh!

thought CITB was now defunct anyway and it's all now CPCS/CSCS

 

so essentially theyre asking you for a now superceded award as best I understand it

ssts... is that the site safety training scheme, if so I was told also that CSCS superceded it some time ago? Strange that someone still asks for ssts.

SSSTS (CITB) – Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme.

as far as I am aware we have been instructed to get this or pay to have a cert. person work with us who is a holder of this certificate

CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme. Have just returned from 2 day training course, there seems no easy way to get it, ie as in cscs, other than having to do the 2 day course with continual assessment, short paper exercise at end of day 1, a toolbox talk and tick box questionnaire requiring a minimum correct score at the end of the course. I understand average pass rate is approx. 90%
