Mornin Everyone,

Newbie dipping his toe in the Forum.

Can find very few threads on CS45 Arborist Groundworker qual on here, the ones I have found dont rate it and they are from 2008, could it have changed?. Read the content City & Guilds have on it, hard to say, hence this thread.

Im looking to do this to increase my earning power basically, Im a self employed qualified Dry Stone Waller, but also tackle a bit of Hedgelaying, Thinning Out, Scrub Clearance, Pesticide Spraying etc.

I reckon at 48 im too old to be doing CS38/CS39 (even though im fit) so getting more Groundwork knowledge would seem to suit me better, assisting climbers etc.

I have CS30/CS31, PA1/PA6, NPTC Brushcutter, Lantra Hedgelaying and other Quals and experience.

Dont want to waste my time and money, so any comments or advice would be welcome.

Cheers, Dave:thumbup:

You would be a better groundsman to anyone with cs38 in my opinion you then know how to rescue them. what they teach you on that course is what youll learn in one day as a groundie and you get paid for it instead of paying for it.

medium trees cs32 could also be a good course.

all the best

Cheers Frankie,

Can see the sense in CS38, never gave CS32 much thought to be honest...but you've set the grey stuff ticking!! Will look into it

Thanks again, Dave
