Lets hope its not John Craven doing the piece, he always takes a hollier than though view of things :001_rolleyes:

Oooops, internal link :blushing:

Here's the blurb.

It's the lovely Ms Bradbury doing the piece :001_rolleyes:

"Epping Forest BBC Countryfile Feature BBC Countryfile has filmed in Epping Forest as part of their ‘Autumn Special’. The theme is autumn colours, of which Epping Forest can be justly proud at this time of the year.

One of the show’s main presenters, Julia Bradbury, discussed the subject of how trees adapt to weather and climate with BBC weather presenter Jon Hammond, as well as finding out about the very important work Epping Forest are undertaking to conserve their trees.

The film crew took full advantage of the new Teupen, a vehicle purchased as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Branching Out project, which enables Epping Forest Arborists to carry out vital works to preserve the Forest’s many veteran trees. The vehicle enabled the crew to film some wonderful shots from 30m (100ft) up in the Forest canopy and the unique views towards London.

The filming took place at High Beach – one of the highest points in the Forest underneath some of the finest ancient beech trees over 600 years old.

The episode of BBC Countryfile will be broadcast on 31 October 2010.

More about Epping Forest

Epping Forest, a major public open space and a site of international importance for its cultural and wildlife value, is owned and managed by the City of London. The City of London Corporation is the local authority for the City of London, the financial and commercial heart of Britain. Since the 1870’s it has had a policy of protecting open spaces for the enjoyment of Londoners. This policy was subsequently adopted by central and local government and the Green Belt was born. "
