Diseased oak tree?

Glad you found it informative. Have you an update on the tree in question? I relish the opportunity to feel important and knowledgeable ...it doesnt happen very often eh!:001_tongue:

 

Well I turned up to the customer ready to blow his head off with my lengthy in depth knowledge and understanding of acute oak die back.

 

Only to learn it got hit by a hurricane ten years ago! lol.

 

Oak tree is a whopper tho. About 5 feet across at the base then twin stems at about 8 feet. The knuckle underneath the stems is a foot or so wider then the base. Tree is roughly 80 feet tall possibly more.

 

Tree is in a bad way. In the center most stems are completely dead and falling to pieces. Wood at about 2 feet diameter has turned a lighter shade of brown and has lots of holes and dead branches aorund it.

 

A few large stems at the bottom look healthy enough but man wants it removed.

 

Lots and lots of decent wood to come away from this one.

 

Yeah that important knowledgeable feeling is quite good so ive been told!! :-)
