dont mean to be one of those buggers that joins up and the first post being one asking for help. I've been lurking here for a while and this might just be what it takes for me to start being a constructive member of this forum...

I recently bought an old Stihl 036, used to have one and loved it so took the oppourtunity to pick another up cheap... didn't get a chance to try it out before I bought it but cost so little i figured it was worth the risk. Besides i quite enjoy reviving old saws and usually do ok, but ive been stumped here by something that feels ridiculous. The short and less dull version of the story is that the flat spring that keeps the switich where it is supposed to be and grounds the spark is bent of out shape.. any one got any idea of a part# or even what the damn things called.

A nice high resoloution photo of your properly shaped one would be even better :)

thanks

and hello:)
