Honda Izy drive speed adjustment

Hi all,

Thanks for your help this far. I've got a new query about my mower. I'm cutting large areas of grass and the forward drive is tediously slow. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or if it has got slower over the past year. Is there a way of adjusting the drive speed? I presume the drive is linked directly to the engine speed, so is there a way of increasing engine rpm, without damaging anything?

Many thanks, Jon-Paul

Hi Tractorboy. I've been looking on the web for an engine diagram or manual but haven't found one yet. I know roughly what does what on the engine but not sure of the names of components. I've moved a spring onto the second hole (to the right). Doesn't seem to have had any noticeable effect. Is this the governor?

Thanks
