I was out doing some survey work today & came accross a tree I have not seen befor.

Amur cork tree: Phellodendron amurense

I have read a little on the tree & was wondering if anyone else has seen many of these.

Seems to be an interesting tree with its use in china for medicine & resurch bing done on some of its medical uses hear to.

It seems a double edged blade though as I read it is quite an invasive spp to, in new england for example it is spreding fast.

A nice looking tree with interest all year round. The one I saw today was in flower with a fair amount of interest bing shown by all manor of flying bee & others.

The berrys hang on for a long time to & are a good bird puller.

Foliage turns various shades of yellow in the autum.

Good tree:confused1:
