How's it going I had the same problem, I got it from Clark engineering 6 months ago they exchanged it no bother and sent the old one back to the factory.

 

Now I have a shinny new one with greased bolts lol. I thought others would have found this problem be but they assured me I was the first, bad design the bolts are in the inside of the sweat band inside...

Thanks for reply. Been too busy to try again, if it does not come off I will send it back. Exactly the same as I thought re sweat band and fixing....
