The problem with paving is its all in the preparation. The cheap bloke might look like he's good, but the customer may change his opinion next year when the paving moves and he was weeds growing out of the mortar joints.

 

I agree, but same can be said for the expensive bloke. Suppose if he is on a day rate he might drag it out and do a better job.

£80 quid a day is a decent labourers wage, or someone employed, ie hasn't got to find the work source materials, provide their own transport and tools etc.

 

If someone wants to do if for that fair play to them, if there any good I'll sub the work to them!!

Totally agree he did made a joke that he couldn't afford me on a day rate, which is good because I dint have one. Well one I tell anyone:wink:.
