Hi Warhammer

First of all, good luck with the Tech Cert Management, hope it goes well. :thumbup1:

Duxbury Park is very local to me, the wood is classed as a ancient semi native woodland by the Forestry Commission. The wood is predominantly a Beech woodland although expect to find the usual native and naturalised trees, along with a few big pines.

Ive put a few photos together on the attachement to show it properly.

Hope it helps.

I did my Tech Cert management excercise there back in 2006 and the description previously mentioned does not tally with the site that we were given. If you focus too much on it, I think you'll be caught out on the day. To be honest I'm not sure about the legitimacy of asking for specific site info before the exams... It's a test of genuine knowledge and ability.

With that in mind, my advice would be to be familiar with a range of woodland types and focus of speedy and professional survey / report preparation. I found that doing mock exam exercises on woods that I didn't know extremely useful.

All the best for the exams.
