but surely best practice is to have your srt line set up in such a way that you can be lowered from the ground

 

i know mine is

 

yeah mine is too, but the question is say you did a runnining bowline to the top of a branch for some reason( rope wasnt long enough) the reason why i am doing this, is i think it will be at NZ tree comps nationals, or maybe they do footlock resuce. but either way it good to know as many tecquines to get people down as possible.

 

but defo agree on lowering from the base by far the best way.

 

 

other question! if u climbed up there tail as if there are on a double rope system is they had a pulley underneath there hitch that would move up until the brach i guess?

 

but as the not sure if ur allowed or not will have to find out about, that and get back to you. r.e. double the load on climbing gear etc.
