Intelligent trees?

Many years ago some one posted a photo showing a Cherry tree, or row of trees that were growing adjacent to a very low brick wall. The wall was about 1-2 feet tall and the tree trunks were a few inches distant from the wall.

The remarkable thing was that despite verticle trunks, they had grown bulges sideways and onto the top of the wall for physical support.

The tree could not see the wall but obviously knew that they were there.

 

Can anyone recollect these please?

I can't believe that nobody remembers the photos of the adapting Cherry trunks. Shame cos I really need the photo, or similar.

So in that vein, who has a photo of a tree doing it's thing, 'reaching out' for support even though it can't see the adjacent support.

That’s cool thank you however that is showing regular encapsulation as the tree expands. 
What we need is visuals of a tree ‘knowing’ an object is close by and growing towards it for physical support.
