My FS 300 brush cutter.

Guys, I stripped and rebuilt this weed eater over two years ago.  It wouldnt start last week and long suspecting the coil pack, as it never restarted when hot, I decided to change out coil with a cheap replacement.  There is one low tension ( short circuit?) wire from the coil.  Where does that go?  To earth?   Or somewhere else.? It just appears to have been nowhere in particular.  Saw was running for two years, but I forget where I had it now.
