Qualified Arborist / Climber Required!

Classic Tree Services are looking for experienced and certified climbing or EWP arborists to join our established teams working in Perth, Western Australia.

 

The position offers varied and interesting roles covering all aspects of arboriculture. Main duties include tree pruning and removals, cable bracing and general tree healthcare. In addition to climbing using a rope and harness CTS runs a large fleet of vehicles including multiple truck mounted EWPs, spider lift EWP, HIAB crane, and Schaffer Loader to assist operations where possible.

40 hour/week full time position, with overtime and emergency call out roster commonly available.

 

Additional skill and meal allowances are provided. Employer paid superannuation, 10 days personal leave, 20 days annual leave +17% loading p/year.

Successful candidates are expected to be motivated and carry out works to a high standard.

 

Overseas applications are strongly encouraged and we welcome 6 month positions for candidates currently on, or planning to obtain, a working holiday visa (417). Advice and assistance with VISA applications and housing/accommodation can also be provided for successful applications.

 

As part of client requirements and to ensure the safety of all workers CTS undertake regular drug and alcohol screening of staff. All applicants must be willing to undertake testing if required

Full time position, Monday-Friday, 40 hrs week - overtime commonly available 

Rate of pay between $35-$40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. 

 

Minimum requirements: 

Cert III in Arboriculture (AQF3, NPTC's, National Diploma or equivalent) 

Level 1 Chainsaw operation (AQF, NPTC or equivalent) 

Full unrestricted ‘Class C’ driving license 

Relevant industry experience

 

Desirable: 

White Card 

Cert II ESI Powerline Vegetation Control 

MR or HR driving licence 

Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence 

Squirrel operation and experience 

HIAB or Schaffer licence and experience 

First Aid Certification 

Traffic Management and Traffic Controller qualification 

Advanced chainsaw qualifications or experience, rigging etc 

Supervisory or team leader experience
