Qualified Arborists - Weston-super-Mare

Our Arboricultural Association Approved office at Weston Super Mare has witnessed significant growth over the last 2 years, and with contracts now secured for the next 5 years we have a unique opportunity to recruit arborists to develop our teams for the future and support arborists of all levels in progressing their career with Glendale.

Glendale Countryside’s dedicated arboriculture teams carry out a wide range of tree-related works for domestic, commercial & public sector clients, throughout Somerset and Wiltshire and South Whales. We are looking for staff to join our award-winning arboriculture teams based at Weston-super-Mare. As well as core technical arboricultural tasks, services offered from this office include woodland and estates management, vegetation management, fencing, tree surgery, forestry and environmental engineering projects so there is a wide variety of experiences and skills to be gained at Glendale. Our Weston operations are flagship arboricultural bases, employing qualified and experienced arborists and supporting a team of trainees. Working from 7.30 am – 4.00 pm, work patterns are routine and regular, with significant paid overtime available for staff wishing to maximise their earning potential. All staff are expected to work to a call out rota for emergency tree work.

There is significant variety of work, with teams carrying out routine amenity arboriculture, technical and veteran tree management, highways and ADB projects as well as woodland management. Our arborists benefit from the use of and experience with a vast array of tools and equipment including MEWPs, Tree shears, whole tree chippers, 26ton Hi-Ab timber lorries, remote-controlled stump grinders, telehandlers and 3.5t – 7.5t arb spec vehicles.
