Spidermites, what to do?

I was surprised to see spider mites on a big lime tree. I always thought these microscopic red mites affected greenhouse plants but never full sized trees in the open.  Maybe the hot weather had something to do with it.   The trunk is covered in web, leaves yellowed and fell early and if you use a macro lens you see the bark is crawling with the mites which are pale orange red in colour. I have attachd a couple of  pics. A bit puzzled frankly,  does anyone have any ideas please. thank you.

Be brave and do nothing.

When there are that many there natural predators will find them and rapidly multiply and control them all by themselves.

You just have to hold your nerve while waiting for them to turn up, or introduce them yourself.

Phytoseiulus is what you are after but a bit late in the year to introduce them (too cold)

I spent may years battling with spider mite in my apples, in the end I modified my fungicide program to be as kind to predators as possible and dropped all spider sprays. Never had a problem since but it was a nerve racking move.
