Hi, whilst using my Farmi Mastersplit WP 36 yesterday, I encountered a problem.

Engine started to "miss", slowing down, I stopped it, with the travelling deck, halfway along it's travel.

I then tried to re start the engine, but after a couple of pulls, the engine became tight, i.e, it would not turn over. Normally when I try to start the engine, with the travelling deck at halfway, the deck would return to it's start position, this did not happen, it remains at halfway.

I removed / disconnected the hydraulic pump assembly from the engine, the engine is ok, it turns over ok & runs fine.

On rotating the pump by hand, it rotates a couple of times & then gets increasingly tight. On disconnecting all the hoses from the pump, the pump is still tight.

I suspect the pump is faulty, but wonder if it could be something else causing the problem, any one experienced this ? any advice ?

The chainsaw motor is free, it can be rotated by hand.
