Stihl 023 rebuild help

Hi Guys, new on heaR but I’ve been lurking for a while. Decided to clear out all my old saws but found a sweet little stihl 023 that one of the guys had chucked in the workshop as it wasn’t running well. It hasn’t done much work and has been in the shed at least 5 years left with fuel and oil in?

anyway my plan was to get it going and fit a little sugi bar and new chain and run it on the farm for fencing and coppiceing.
The saw fires and runs at 3/4-full throttle but fairly lumpy and stalls at any less.
I removed the carb today which looks clean but I really don’t know what I’m looking at.
could you give me any pointers? I’m better at using saws than fixing saws!

Check the compression is OK, if you can't, pop off the muffler and look at the piston thought the exhaust port making sure the piston isn't scored.

Change the plug.

Change the fuel filter and service the carb with s new carb kit.

If you can't do this, give it to someone else to do.....preferably not me unless you are local!
