Work placement required northdevon

Afternoon all, just wanted to through some feelers out before I do a proper search and ring around. I'm due to start a level 3 arb course at bicton college in september, but need to do 45 days work experience. With a company local to North Devon I live in ilfracombe but have my own transport. What I really want to do is work everyday I'm not at college (if I can earn some money doing it, the 45 days is unpaid)  I've been offshore for the last 7 years so a change of industry for me want to be closer to home. 
I'm good with knots a grafter and can work hard! Im 25 so you know your getting someone mature.
Been working with saws for a few years looking after grandparents land just firewood ground maintenance hedges etc.
always maintained my own saws and sharpened my own blades anyone that can point me in some directions would be massively appreciated.
