Hi all,

 

Does anyone know anything about the RFS level 4 Qual? Is it a worth while thing to do?

 

I'm considering doing it long distance, I want to learn more about woodland conservation, ecology and forestry so it seems like the right thing.

 

Any information would be appreciated.

Does it exist at Level 4? The RFS L2 exists (combination of theory trial by examination and practical nptc units). The RFS used to accredit the L6 but those days are long gone. 

 

Current L4 is through ABC. I did it. It was good but hard work and time consuming (and rightly so).

This is the one mate, on the RFS website it says they do it through ABC but on the myerscough website they do a 10 week award, so not a full diploma.

Interesting. That will be the core units then I'm guessing. If you have the option of topping to the cert or diploma, then that would be good.
