your chain will likely be .325 pitch so will run on that bar as the nose will probably be  also  but the chain will be sloppy , with it rocking around it can wear the rails  and the chain links ,  the Sugi bars are hard as hell steel but t can still be affected , if the chain is loose and rocking in the bar as it tips there is a lot of load on one place on the rail and link , imagine standing on you feet and then tip your ankle over lot of stress on one small contact patch so thats how things get worn ,  325  will  also not feel good on a 3/8 , same thing it will jump out or jam up

Contact them and get a proper replacement if the specs are not as you asked , at least you still have the part number from the bar and wrapping which are wrong if you find the exact issue with bar gauge and  sprocket

Measured .058 with digital caliper, looked through all my saws 16-32" is all .050 which tells me that's what's on hand around me for sale but could be wrong. Would ya run .050 on .058 rail?

no not good , read the post above , some folk dont give  a sh..t but its already got  simulated wear with a smaller gauge it will rock around and cause a taper on the drivers and the bar groove with high loading on small contact patch  sugi bars are so hard you cant dress them easily or squeeze them back to reduce the wear taper which can be done on soft steel worn logger bars which is fixable, once a 50 gauge bar gets real worn a 0.58 chain  can be rune so can keep its life  longer

Here's how they listed it on their site, guess like you said somehow someone swapped a bar out. Hopefully they'll stand behind the mistake (mine and theirs) and replace it even though it's now used.

yip thats the link i seen on their site  , on the sugihara  site i entered just VH2U in the search box  and it came up with around a dozen bars and all are 0.58  gauge

i did look up HL sully and that number did show  , on the Sugihara site there is no part number to match it , only the first section  and the 045  which is 18 inch (450mm )

yip thats the proper spec on my ones but are 15 inch not the 18 you have  but only 3 inch longer , they are  small husky mount  K095  .325 sprocket tip and 0.50 gauge rail ,

thats why the VH2U is 3/8 0.58 on all the bars i looked up , what is your exact chain , have you looked at the chain fitment on the nose ?
