Tree Surgeon/Climber/Team Leader

Job description

We are looking for a fully qualified, experienced and competent Tree Surgeon/Lead Climber who can carry out both aerial and ground based operations to our high standard and at good speed. You would be required to climb daily. You would be responsible for the organisation of the working day including daily maintenance, the completion of relevant paperwork and to liaise with customers. Included also in this role is the management of staff. You would need the ability to demonstrate intuition and motivation.

You would need to be able to use various vehicles and the associated equipment ie Cherry Picker, Woodchippers, and Stump Grinders.

 

Preferred Skills

The following skills and qualifications will be preferred,

• Be highly motivated and able to work to an extremely high standard of both safety and quality.

• Minimum full UK driving licence.

• Arboricultural qualifications such as NPTC 201, 202,203 (formally known as CS30 & CS31), NPTC 206, 306 & 308 (formally known as CS38 & CS39) or equivalent

• Minimum of 2 years climbing experience.

• Proven experience in arboriculture.

• You will have need to have good communication skills, a highly flexible approach and be good a team player who takes pride in their work.

Other desirable qualifications include CS40/41, PA1, First Aid at Work. Manual handling qualification. IPAF or similar MEWP ticket.

You will work in all aspects of arboriculture, from small private clients to commercial companies and property development contracts. Our business is based on our reputation. Our retained client base, repeat business and customer satisfaction levels demonstrate our success at caring for all our customers, large and small, on a personal and individual basis.

Alongside our conventional workload, STS carries out many specialist works including rigging and large take down operations, often involving cranes and MEWPS.

 

Overtime:- Potential for overtime and weekend work available at increased rates of pay.

 

Equipment:- All PPE and other required equipment will be provided.

20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

 

Pay dependent on qualifications and experience. £25-£30,000 for the right person. With scope to increase this on a long term secure basis.
