I was looking to get something like a ford transit connect and a small chipper to tow behind it, and only do small trees/hedges or jobs where chips/logs stay on site for now. Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated thanks!

Sounds sensible.

I'd suggest a small van and (e.g.) 8x4 cage trailer to start with, it's supprising how much you can get on if you mash up the brash with a saw, or hedge cuttings probably wouldn't be chipped anyway.

then a greenmech cs100 when funds allow. Any bigger jobs sub in help with larger vehicles/chippers.
