Ok, Thanks for all the answers. I have just got back from (painting) it with tunge. It looks good, so will wait and see what happens after another few coats. Thanks for the help from everyone.

If it's any help I use driers with pure tung oil which speeds up drying time considerably and stops the finish feeling rubbery, I find this makes a fairly big difference, cheers.
