RHS Wisley Arborist Position (not traineeship)

Hello All,

 

Not to be confused with the traineeship that I posted about 2 months ago. This is for a full time position (37.5 hrs p/w) within the Arboriculture team at Wisley. The beginning of the advert again, is more directed towards horticulture, but as it states, this is one of the world’s best gardens and horticulture is the main emphasis.

 

The job however, is primarily Arboriculture, day to day duties include all aspects of tree works carried out on the mature trees situated within the garden and the wider estate, as well as carrying out tree inspections on the approximate 3000 trees within the garden (plus wider estate) that are under ownership of the RHS. There is a small amount of hedge trimming, log splitting and other minimal duties that we are asked to carry out from time to time with the basic running of a garden of this size. We have excellent tree climbing, rigging and other equipment and you have the potential to gain more qualifications and further your knowledge.
