Arb Manager, Central London up to £32K P/A

Our client, based in central London, has a strong track record of delivering a high quality urban forestry programme of tree planting projects and edible playgrounds. They are looking for a driven, highly motivated and skilled Arboricultural Manager to join the team.

 

The role would involve project managing a programme of urban tree projects ensuring they are delivered safely in line with current health and safety practices . Acting as the main point of contact for local councils, tree officers, project partners and other stakeholders to manage clear lines of communication and ensure that projects are managed and delivered in line with current planning policy guidelines and legislation and meet the needs of the local community.

 

The successful candidate would undertake site surveys ,produce recommended tree species lists , liaise with established tree nurseries, select, source and order all trees and planting accessories, manage deliveries and care of tree stock.

This would also involve managing budgets for the tree planting projects and developing a three year maintenance programme to ensure successful establishment and to monitor tree health.

 

The successful candidate should hold a nationally recognised qualification in arboriculture or urban forest management (Level 3 or above) and have practical experience of planting standard trees and maintaining urban tree planting projects. Experience of working with local authorities, contractors, local residents and community groups will be advantageous.

A valid driving licence is essential with towing entitlement and good level of experience of driving crew vans and towing trailers desirable.
