Utility Arb Project Manager, Midlands, Circa £25,000 p/a

Our client is a large national green services contractor providing a full range of integrated landscape solutions to large commercial and public sector clients through out the UK. This includes grounds maintenance, landscape construction and arboriculture. Established in the 1970s, the company has grown substantially since 2005 as a result of three large acquisitions and successful tendering. Turnover is now nearly £50m and the company plans to continue this expansion and become the leading provider of green services in the UK.

 

As a major player in the Utility Arboriculture sector (both rail and power lines) our client has asked us to assist in sourcing high quality managerial staff to facilitate their continued expansion in the market. They currently have a project Manager role available in The Midlands to work on a large contract in the Warwickshire/Leicestershire and West Midlands area.

 

This position is responsible for the day to day management of 2-3 teams of operational staff, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety whilst meeting defined timescales and profit targets. This will include the complete work cycle from surveying and permissioning to work programming and sign off on completion. Liaison with stakeholders such as land owners, clients and senior management will for a significant part of the role as will financial and other reporting to regional offices.

 

Candidates should have utility arboriculture experience, ideally in a team leader or foreman role and hold NPTCs UA1,2.1,2.2 and 2.3 as a minimum. Other desirable qualifications are a level 3 in arboriculture and LANTRA PTI. More important is the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to generate confidence in the operation of the business with staff, management and clients.
