Is there anything more frustrating than grabbing for your trusted handsaw only to find it has come loose from the sheath and fallen to the floor?
Could you do without wasting time collecting it or worst case have to replace an expensive tool that has been lost or broken on impact?
Taking on board all your feedback throughout 2010, we’ve finally developed the first original Phat Strop, which has a universal application with any tool up to a maximum weight of 2.5lb/1.25kg.
So what’s in it for the user?
Most importantly, it’s designed to help you prevent dangerous, sharp or heavy tools being dropped from any height that may cause serious injury or property damage.
Interestingly, just about every commercial user working with tools from any height or work platform above 2.5 metres now needs a Phat Strop to comply with health & safety general duties of care.
So how do I use a Phat Strop?
The Phat Strop comes complete with a heavy duty lanyard, carabiner and unique cord loop, which can be thread through the eye of the tool or secured firmly around the tool handle. The lanyard extends from 1-1.4 metres so you can conveniently reach branches yet it also recoils close to the sheath meaning you avoid getting caught whilst climbing.
