Permanent full time tree surgeon/climber position available at RJ Tree Services, based in Surrey/South London. Salary negotiable. You will carry out a broad spectrum of work for private domestic clients. The applicant will have relevant experience as an Arborist / Tree Surgeon. They will be used to working to the highest standard both in terms of safety and quality and be keen to develop their skills and qualifications. The Job: The company is a small, long running business with team of 5 operating across South West London/Surrey boarder and the work centres on Domestic, Residential clients, carrying out technical arboriculture tasks. The role will include a broad range of duties including aerial tree surgery, pruning, crown thinning and lifting, felling, clearance, and ground-based chainsaw work. The required skill set will include species identification and disease and pest control. The Person: You will have experience in an Arborist role and may hold a qualification in forestry or arboriculture. You must have a sound understanding of current industry best practice in Arboriculture together with knowledge of diseases and defects, tree hazard evaluations, risk zones including equipment recommendation and valuation methods. You will have a proactive and positive approach to Health & Safety regulations and be able to instil this in your team. The nature of the work requires candidates to hold the relevant industry qualifications: • NPTC certificates: 201(CS30), 202(CS31), 206/306(CS38) 308(CS39) • A full, UK driving licence is desired, preferably with trailer towing.
