Can anyone clear up the two rope working? yet again a guidance document is full of 'appears' and 'ifs'. I do not feel that there is a clear line to follow, there is a lot of leeway for everyone to follow a different path. Everyone will also believe they are following the guidance correctly. It will only be when its all to late that we will find out. can anyone point me in the right direction, is it: 1- ALWAYS have two ropes connected to separate anchors where possible. When changing one of the main anchors a third rope/line is used to maintain two ropes all the time. 2- ONE main line is used around the tree. When cutting or in a place which may cause a swing/pendulum a second line/lanyard should be used. Once out of a swing position and not cutting you can ascend and descend on one line. 3- NONE OF THE ABOVE. ICoP Tree work May 2020.pdf
