Hi all, new to the site. I was hoping to get a little advice for my first chainsaw. I’ve used my dads husky over the years but want to bite the bullet. My mind is set in getting a MAKITA EA4300F45C 43CC. I was originally going to get the Husqvarna 435 mk2 but having looked at all the advice people have got in the past in these forums and others the Makita sound like a great piece of equipment for what I want it for. I hope this isn’t a stupid question but if I do buy this, will I struggle to get it serviced or would any know where to go if I needed to. I’m based in Armagh Northern Ireland and the Husqvarna seems to be a safe option for servicing down the line as it’s sold nearby. Gosford equipment Ltd. do sell dolmars and Makita but look like they have very few compared to other brands. Hoping to get my certs done (cs30,31,32,34) with this saw when all the dust settles around us and mostly use it for firewood on a regular enough basis. I wouldn’t be felling at the moment as most of the wood is lying but would ideally love to get into working with it eventually. Any advice would be great ?
