  2. LAND SKILLS TRAINING & ASSESSMENTS LTD We require a full time Instructor and Assessor to join our team in Surrey. Ideally applicants should be an approved Lantra Awards Technical Instructor and a registered City and Guilds Assessor for both Ground Based Chainsaw and Aerial Tree Work. The successful applicant will be based at our Dorking office but will be required to travel directly to and from training sites. A company vehicle including fuel will be supplied for work use. Hours will be 8.30am to 4.30am on site but will be flexible in line with course/assessment requirements. The role will include teaching a variety of short courses and assessing certificates of competence mainly in the specialist areas of Arboriculture and Forestry including Use and Maintenance of Chainsaws, Woodchippers, Stumpgrinders, Brushcutters, Tree Felling, Tree Climbing and associated machinery. There will be the opportunity to develop and add further skills in line with the company requirements. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS check.   4. I've just had an email asking if anyone know of someone that would be ready/nearly ready to attend the NPTC Assessor Training course for Chainsaws. To be eligible to attend they must: • Hold the equivalents of CS30/31/32 City and Guilds • Be technically evaluated in the qualifications they want to assess • Hold a full first aid at work certificate • Have observed two assessments If this is you and you can make the course schedule for 19 - 22 Oct, get in touch with Wendy Farmer at NPTC.

    Looking for private trainers/assessors who cover the South Yorkshire/north derbyshire area and willing to teach new equivalent to cs 38/39. Already have site organized, equipment and 3/possibly 4 trainees (including myself) ready to go at short notice. Any recommendations greatly appreciated. Thanks
