    Also happy to take logs suitable for firewood. 
     
    Site may be awkward to access due to the location by the road. Metal barrier and low level stone wall that would be possible to lift over and deposit material in front garden. Happy to discuss feasibility of drop-off

    I am creating a garden from scratch and require wood chippings to suppress the weeds, keep the soil moist and prevent erosion. I have already planted two lines of hedging and want to give it the best possible chance to grow by adding wood chippings which would keep the weeds down and allow it to get established. 
     
    I have prepared several flower beds and I will also be creating vegetable patches and various pathways, all of which would benefit from wood chippings.

  11. Sturdee Road Allotments (East side of road)

    We are a 30-plot allotment site accessible to 3.5 tonnes trucks and bigger. The entrance is grass and hard-standing  leading to a concrete area for tipping. Please ring at least 20mins in advance to ensure someone is there to unlock the gate.
    We would welcome chippings from non-diseased trees and shrubs, but no laurel or rhododendron, please. Many thanks!
