  3. Overstrand Allotments (Peter Bennett)

All woodchips gratefully received, but please drop me a quick message before delivering so that I know what to expect and/or to double check that there is still space to offload.

In an ideal world it would also be fantastic to know what sort of wood chips to expect - ie size of chips and wood species/mix of species, just because different sizes and species are good for different uses on the allotment.

For a detailed description of how to access the site keep reading and also look at the attached images.

The site is located in the centre of Overstrand and accessed by initially taking a right turn off Cromer Road near the H Curtis & Son Garage. (See first image for correct turning). You take the turn through a gate and go up a gravel drive that would eventually lead to the old Overstrand Station.  Before you reach the station, and just before the second set of gates, there is a fork in the lane. Take the left hand fork and follow the dirt track to the allotments. (See second image for identifying the allotment track). Follow the dirt track up the hill and round the corner to find the tip site soon on your left - opposite the first parking/ turning bay. (please see the third photo of the exact tip area, located on the bank just above one of the allotments opposite the parking bay)

If you have a particularly large vehicle that may not be able to make it up the track to the allotment then if you can give me some warning I can speak to the owner of the station to arrange a delivery to his land instead.

  10. Beckside

Hello! We are a care farm providing green therapy for people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities or those who are on the autistic spectrum. We would love to receive regular supplies of woodchips/ mulch for our rescued hens run, our vegetable area, paths and our horse paddock.  Our postcode makes us easy to find and our access/ drop off is easy to negotiate as we've had huge lorries make deliveries as well as tractors, bailers etc in and out. We'll get the kettle on when we know you are coming and you can join us for a brew!
