Logs required for wood burners please (our own plus elderly neighbours in the village). I can cut up larger logs with a small chain saw but I need to be able to lift the logs on my own please (so I won't be able to handle large trunks). Logs can be tipped next to our large gate on a side road or I can be collect within say 5 miles of WR13 6QW. Kind regards, Nicholas

  5. Children's Forest

We need mulch for trees in a new "Children's Forest" being planted as part of a community project. We would like clean woodchips from deciduous / non-acidic species.
The site is about 500m from the main road along a track and then down a field edge.
Please call to arrange delivery. We can take as much as you can give as we will be planting 2,600 trees over this winter and next.
We do have some funding to pay for chip and / or mulch mats but we underestimated the cost so please let us know if you would like payment and how much.

Direct access from A303 at Mere, Wiltshire. Not suitable for HGV drop offs. Tractor & trailer or LGV is ok. Must be able to tip / offload as no machinery on site to assist. Please contact me first to agree type and delivery details, thank you. We are starting a small animal rescue and looking to have sheep / goats / pigs/ fowl.

Clean woodchips appreciated,  please telephone before dropping.

'S' bend at entrance will make dropping difficult for long vehicles. Sorry I don't know my HGV's particularly well, but a Class2 DAF 260 managed the bend yesterday, just. HTH.

    Cheers
