  1. Thanks - I should have said I have already spoken to the council. They will want to see it in person and may recommend I get an Arborist to examine it. These are the pictures I sent to the council as requested. I did also have a family member who is a tree surgeon take a look and his opinion was it needs to come down. I’m based in the NW of Northern Ireland so probably not close to anyone here, but you never know!
  2. Afternoon, I’ve just bought a house surrounded by lots of trees, including a big old Walnut tree. Our surveyor did mention it may need inspection by an Arborist and upon further inspection (to my untrained eye) it doesn’t look in great health). I rang the council as I believe this is protected by a TPO and they will likely come and view it. It is leaning towards my neighbours house, and although it could probably still outlive me there’s always that risk it could fall in bad weather. Can any experts on here provide any feedback please as I’m none-the-wiser when it comes to tree health other than common sense! Thank you.
