About the Job:
Due to a significant increase in our workload we have positions available for climbers of all levels.
Team Leader
Lead Climber
Second Climber
You will be required to undertake a variety of tree work operations based on your level of experience. These will include but are not limited to reductions, take downs, rigging, mewp work, hedge trimming, fruit tree pruning, pollarding and more!
A strong work ethic and a diligent approach to producing quality work whilst keeping yourself and others safe will be essential, as will a the ability to work as a team in challenging situations.
Skills and Experience:
NPTC or equivalent tickets relevant to your role will be essential. Diplomas and other more advanced training are an advantage.
Team Leader:
10+ years experience in the industry. A high level of skill and experience in a wide variety of tree work settings, both domestic and commercial. A good understanding of health and safety in tree work. Ability to communicate effectively with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Leadership skills to maximise the potential of a team by delegating to make use of people's strengths whilst up-skilling the less experienced at every opportunity.
Lead Climber:
5+ years climbing experience. Comfortable in all situations including advanced rigging, large reductions and anything challenging. Ability to work fast and effectively, to a high standard whilst maintaining safety. High level of physical fitness. Also willing to trim hedges, drag branches and rake up etc.
Second Climber:
2+ years climbing experience. A solid foundation in tree climbing technique. Able to carry out medium sized reductions and take downs safely and effectively. A basic working knowledge of aerial rigging techniques. Competent at ground based rigging operations. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. A realistic understanding that everyone drags branches and cleans up.
