To think I use to get these jobs done with a Stihl MS 194T. Here is a video from a few years ago where we had to use a porta wrap to bring down nearly every limb. The tree was growing through the deck and it was tough. Although the 194T is a good saw, the power is not so good. I'm glad to have the 201 now, way more power. Any suggestions on a top handle saw?

I don't want any part of them, they kill up to 50 people a year in Japan. I seen them last year here in Southwestern Ohio.

I would say not safe, that base is rotting. You could tie off on the other stem, it looks better at the base. Felling is an option if there is enough clearance, can't tell from this angle.
