  4. Hi all so after the last year or hiring a chipper I have finally built up enough funds to punches a chipper of my own. I’m am about 14 months in business and as you know dripping a large amount of money into a chipper is a big move for a small growing business. But heel of the hunt I’m looking for advice on what is a good all round chipper. I know nothing is bullet proof and all takes care to look after and keep running but what would be a good all rounder that other members have found worked for them or what would your advise be… thanks Peter
  5. Hi Con he is no relation to me at all. I was doing a job for my mate.. yes take the photo and use it. Lesson learnt on this one anyway. But look everyday a school day.
  6. I did tell him to f-off that the thing. Asked him twice to move away third time I lost it. This is what made me loose the plot as you can see from the photo and yes they are a pair of Chelsea boots he wearing using a 661 with a 36” bar
  7. Hi All Looking for advise on this. i was on a site clearance yesterday of a new build and had to fell some large trees, 7 in total all. Anyway that beside the point. I took this job on as a favour to a friend of mine doing it for cost price. As it’s his daughter that building the house.. As the day went on all the farther in law rocked up with a saw.. (just a saw) and started cutting away. I did ask him to stop and move out of way a few times. but then enough was enough when he stated using my equipment and nearly tagged one of the lad with the saw as he was moving moving a log. Now I did have a go at my own lad first but he said the other chap didn’t see me. He just ran the saw through the truck. 36” bar. This is where I lost my cool with the farther in-law. Do I eat humble pie and apologise or Do I stick to my guns. I feel I should stick strong. As he shouldn’t have gotten involved in the job and defo not of been using my equipment. what everyone opinion on this. or did any ever have this happening. Thank Pete
  8. As the title says I’m looking for a truck in around the 10-15k mark thanks Pete
  9. Thanks for all the reply’s. Out off all the above what has the best set of feed rollers and grabbing strength.
  10. Why avoid the först I had one on hire and didn’t think it was too bad.
  11. Yeah this is what I don’t want. I know lads will say this brand is bad for parts or that brands bad for breakdowns. So this is what I’m trying to find
  12. Budget. I’m thinking in around 20k intended use is anything from the size of your wrist down so maybe a 6” would be ideal.
  13. Hi all as the heading says I am taking the plunge in buying a chipper and looking for advice on what a good buy and what to stay away from. I know different lads will have different opinions but let’s see what everyone has to say thanks Pete

    HARNESS

I got the Notch Sentinel nice on the back.but the the leg loops are shocking big on the size 2 they won’t tighten up anymore.this left be disappointed in my choice. The wait buckle can be a little difficult at times to tighten in. I’m gone that annoyed over it I’m debating to get a new saddle this is only a few months old
  15. Hi all. I am looking for recommendations on a good set of boots that would have a decent sole with a nice bit of grip when swinging about. Something that are not too stiff to wear either. Thanks Pete
