  1. Thanks a lot for your answers... Yes, it is a good thing, that it moves up easily, when the rope underneath is pulled. That's the point, I know. Still sometimes I don't want it to move up and it still does because the rope is pulled. Not by me though...by gravity. In most cases I don't want slack, but sometimes I do want more space and I hate that it chokes itself. I was hoping this is a common problem to many climbers and there is an easy simple solution to it. Anyways, thanks for your replies!
  2. Hi, when I started treeclimbing this year, I used SRT with a rope wrench. Now I got a new rope, a hitch climber, hitch cord and 2 carabiners as a moving rope system. I tried it yesterday, but being like 20-25 m up in the tree, the end of the rope (Atrax) is so heavy, it chokes my system automatically. I just want to have some slack. I hope you know what I mean... I'm happy which my Michoacan hitch: I like that it's easy to operate but unfortunately it's also influenced by 20+ m of rope underneath, while barely rope above it... Thank you, Kai 20231006_134257.mp4
