  1. Ive been doing tree work for a number of years now, ive always had the same approach to those types of clients, because i value my reputation and im very proud of my work standards, ill always explain to the client that what they want is usually wrong for the health of the tree and will usually find a middle ground with the client but i'll always refuse to butcher trees
  2. Few days ago i was hired by a lady who stated that her oak trees are far too big and wanted them reduced, i was very hesitant since there was nothing wrong with them that i could see, the crown looked nice and healthy and no visible defects for ground level. So i asked why she wanted them reduced and do the trees cause her any problems. She didnt really give any justifcation she just replied with "they dont cause me any problems they are just too big". In the end i polietly declined the job since i didnt see any need to reduce them. But on the way back it got me thinking. How would you deal with a client like that or similar situation and what would you do or say?
  3. I was asked today by a colleague, do you actually need permisson to conduct an aerial inspection on a TPO?. Fankly i never thought about it i just kind of assumed you need permission anyway. I understand that you need permisson to work on a TPO but an aerial Inspection youre not directly working on the tree inself youre inspecting it. So do you need permission regardless?? What are your thoughts?
  4. Yeah Very True In fact. Im almost trying to fix a problem which is already solved. Cheers for that 👍
  5. I definitely get your point but its the fact its adjustable to suit the size of the limb in that aspect.
  6. Im not too fussed if its not retrievable, im more after the fact of less friction in thesystem
  7. Hi guys I wanted to get your thoughts and opinions on this pulley cambium saver that I made. It isn't retrievable sadly. Because as you pull the tail of the rope the pulley twists the pulley wedges itself sideways on the Karabiner. Do you guys think its a viable system to use as a cambium saver ?? Consists of: 13mm Rope CT Pulley 9mm Prusik Cord Stein Karabiner
