  1. I was surprised to see spider mites on a big lime tree. I always thought these microscopic red mites affected greenhouse plants but never full sized trees in the open. Maybe the hot weather had something to do with it. The trunk is covered in web, leaves yellowed and fell early and if you use a macro lens you see the bark is crawling with the mites which are pale orange red in colour. I have attachd a couple of pics. A bit puzzled frankly, does anyone have any ideas please. thank you.
