  1. Hi all, is it ok to pack and store my static 10.5 climbing rope shown in te picture? (I store it on a dark and dry place in a sport bag)
  2. Thats true! so one stopper knot, grigri and prusik is safe enough in your opinion?
  3. Is it more dangerous with knots? I just make them to prevent a bigger free fall
  4. Hi, thanks! time really isnt an issue because no one has to pay me 😁 So I dont mind making a knot every 3 meter. also i’m climbing a static rope, so imagine i’m free falling 8meters or so and the knot on the end of the rope saves me. That would hurt really bad because of the rope being static, not dynamic, isnt it?
  5. Thank you for your time! really informative
  6. Is there an instruction video of this specific technique? with the prusik underneath the grigri, and the grigri slips, isnt it going to take the prusik with it on its way down? thanks for replying!
  7. Hi, thanks for your answer! I really believe the grigri is save enough, but in my opinion the prusik knot/rope is a simple extra safety to add. I also make knots underneath me every 3 or so meters just in case. Is that a good idea since i’m using a static rope?
  8. Thats possible but not really comfortable since I need both hands to descent with the grigri. but do you think the prusik will hold? thanks for replying btw!
  9. Hi all, first of all, I do tree climbing just for fun. I use my grigri to descend and also a prusik knot as an extra safety. So I descend 1 meter, stop, take the prusik knot with me, descent another meter, stop…. And so on… it takes way more time, I know, but thats ok for me! is it safe? will the prusik safe my life in case the grigri slips/fails? greetings
