  1. How’s best to get rid of these little buggers? Tree is covered in them.
  2. Roughneck ROU65678 Log Splitting Maul It has no trouble with most logs.
  3. It’s not like hitting concrete, it’s just not splitting.
  4. Thought it was pear but it’s a PAIN to split. Wood is still moist but larger logs won’t split with the axe. From what I’ve read, hawthorn is tough to split. The grain doesn’t seem to ever run straight. Am I better to leave it to season a little first?
  5. Most of the logs from todays drop. Hard for me to guess how much is there, but some nice big logs to get stuck into.
  6. Wasn’t sure if they were a standard length.
  7. How deep do the screws go? The log collecting has got a little out of hand 😂 Mostly fruit wood, some long branches that a friend dropped off too the right and todays ash drop off.
  8. All from the same tree.
  9. Working a treat
  10. Yeah? I thought the silvery skin was more plum than cherry.
  11. I’d like to think they know better than I do……
  12. That’s how I found out it was cherry 😂 Some are really red inside and distinctive but the larger ones have little colour but the distinct smell. The one I think to be Apple smells fruity I don’t believe it’s cherry.
  13. Wasn’t replying to you 😂 Just checked them out, some nice stoves, think I’ll add one to the list.
