  1. This has been my thinking. Combi seems useful for the versatility but I’m guessing purpose built would be a lot better
  2. Another one to add to the list thanks will take a look at that too
  3. Will take a look at those different options. Typically my battery hand tools are all Milwaukee. Wish they would make the batteries interchangeable Good to know on the blower front. maybe a petrol version of that would be best. Got a bit to think about. the top handle wouldn’t be a purchase for now but always wondered what the performance was like Thanks
  4. Cheers will take a look at that one. As I said never used kombi stuff so don’t know how they cut. Do you run a 12” bar on the top handle? How does that handle full bar timber?
  5. Hi everyone So went self employed this year and I need a new blower and hedge cutter. I had been looking at switching to battery stuff so thought this was an ideal time. my local dealers are mainly Stihl ( one has some husky stuff) I had thought of just buying a bga 86 blower and a hsa 100 trimmer. Then in time get a long reach trimmer when funds allow ( currently would be replacing a blower and Stihl hs45 trimmer). from reading reviews these two seem to have good reviews but I also keep seeing people recommend the Stihl battery kombi units as being better that the stand alone hedge trimmers. I’ve never really used a kombi units so don’t have anything to go off for that. Any advice or recommendations ( even if it’s to stay away from Stihl stuff ) would be great. I’ve been going around and around on what to invest in as my funds are limited so obviously want to make the best choice thanks in advance robin
  6. I think a new blower and fiskar rake is in order then. Thanks for all the replies
  7. Will save my money and just buy a standard blower by the sounds of it cheers
  8. That’s good to know thanks for the reply
  9. Hi I need to buy a new blower so was going to get a stihl blower again. But also on my shopping list this year is a leaf vacuum. I have a few customers that I clear leaves for and as I’m moving more towards garden maintenance I think it would be good to have in my arsenal. my question is has any one used one of the two in one machines or would I be better off getting two machines. Also I’m happy for it not to be stihl cheers
  10. Thanks will steer clear if I do build my own
  11. Thanks for all responses. Will have another look into wood sheds then but without felt roofs 👍
  12. West mids
  13. Thanks for all responses. Any suggestions on makes of sheds then. will have a look into the flat packs. my plan is to have the shed up off the slabs
  14. As the title says looking for shed recommendations. Looking at either 6x8 or 8x8 , I’ve been looking at metal sheds as most likely will be put on a slabbed area and I like the idea of not needing to keep treating a wooden shed. any recommendations would be great thanks in advance
  15. Thanks for the reply’s will definitely be looking into what you have suggested. 👌
